Hey there family and friends,
If you have successfully found my blog, I am beyond excited! This is where I plan to connect everyone to little miss Cote Marie. There is one trimester left of anticipation, but that is just enough time to prepare!
It is my plan to teach my little angel baby sign language. It will be proper ASL but very simple, of course. There are many reasons to support this decision. By teaching a baby to sign, the communication gap is bridged, and the signs helps to mold and stimulate the mind. By accessing both sides if the brain, signing can expand the baby's capacity to learn language. She may also begin speaking earlier than normal. For all of these reasons, I ask for family and friends to support my decision.
In order for the signing to be effective, those who plan to interact with Cote will need to be familiar with some signs. This will help to enforce the signs but also allow her to communicate with others without frustration.
Thus, I am brought to the preparation!!
